Working Dog Resources
With all of the draft test practice sessions being held please remember that if you want to find out where the practices and testing is being held please use the Working Dog Resources map under the Club Info tab. By clicking on the map you can see all of the club members that are identified as part of the Working Dog group and get directions to their places.

November Draft Test Premium List Posted
Nancy Aliff has made the November Draft Premium list available. It can be found in the downloads section or by following the links below. Remember, you MUST get your entries in on time. Entries are accepted by mail only and need to be postmarked no earlier than Monday, September 22, 2008. Entries close at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2008.

Draft Test and Fun Day
Don't forget that this Saturday (9/13/2008) is the first draft test practice and water fun day at Gerri's place in Bell. Gerri says any time after 10:00am is good. We hope to see you all there.

Are you ready for some PRACTICE??
Here's the latest schedule for draft test practice and learning more about draft work.

  • Saturday September 13th will be a fun water play day with draft work at Gerri's house in Bell.

  • Saturday September 20th will be draft work at my house,(George) in Riverview. We will start around 10:00 am or when we have people to work with.

Then coming down to CRUNCH TIME

  • Saturday October 18th in Riverview.

  • SUNDAY October 26th in Bell.

  • FINAL PRACTICE Saturday November 1st in Bell.

Our tests dates are November 8th and 9th. As always, if you're not competing, we need your help with stewarding this test. If you can walk a mile, you can help. It's extremely important to have all the help we can get to continue to put on these events. Any questions drop Gerri or George a line. We are also willing and available to help on other days or times, Just give us a call. Stay safe and we'll see you at these get togethers....

The final votes are in for the parade restaurant.

  • Amici's - 31 internet votes, 1 phone vote - total 32 (60.4%)

  • Culinary Institute of SA - 2 internet votes, 0 phone votes - total 2 (3.8%)

  • IHOP - 13 internet votes, 6 phone votes - total 19 (35.8%)

VOTE FOR RESTAURANT & AUCTION VENUE FOR ST. AUGUSTINE CHRISTMAS PARADE
The board met recently to discuss options for the dinner and auction in St. Augustine as was decided at the planning meeting. We looked at several criteria in our decision including handicapped accessibility, location, menus and cost. We have narrowed the choices to three for voting purposes.

  • Amici's - handicapped accessible, full cash bar, choice of 3 entrees, appetizer included in price. Cost will be $40 for adults and $15 for children.

  • Culinary Institute of St. Augustine - handicapped accessible, Non-smoking, non-alcoholic facility (anywhere on premises). Only serve tea and coffee, no soft drinks. Buffet style holiday menu. Cost will be $40 for adults and $40 for children.

  • IHOP - handicapped accessible, can bring your own alcoholic beverages. Walking distance from hotel (1 block).
    Choice`of 3 entrees. Cost will be $20 for adults and $10 for children.
