UPDATE - 5/30/2009 - Amy has been adopted and will be going to her forever home tomorrow. We will get pictures and post them as soon as we can.

We have a 6 year old female black who will be available for adoption in the near future. Amy is a quiet dog, but very friendly to people and other dogs & cats. She is crate trained and jumps on a grooming table. She was an owner ‘turn in’ to a shelter in the Panhandle.

She would be best in a home that understands that she may be getting a little slower at moving around, and who wants a nice, quiet girl in their house. Amy is heartworm negative, but is currently being treated for a few very minor health issues and will be spayed before she is adopted. The vet doesn’t think she has any real leg problems, just that she is getting a little stiff, so the new owner should be willing to give her glucosamine and possibly an an anti-inflammatory as she gets older. Laurel is currently fostering Amy in Jacksonville. If you are interested in providing a loving home please consider Amy.
